Multi Vitamins/Minerals –Which One is Good for You? [Find Out Which Multi Vitamin is Good For You]
Was this subject on the Dr. Oz show? Last Sunday I had people come into the store throughout the day asking for a “good” multi. Our vitamins are all “good”, otherwise we wouldn’t sell them at our store. They are all natural, not synthetic like you might get at a drug store. This is important because you want to make sure the vitamins and minerals are going to breakdown and get absorbed. (We have all read about the septic tank that had whole tablets and capsules in it because synthetic vitamins are hard for the body to breakdown.)
The multivitamin that is best for you depends on the answers to some questions. The first questions I always ask are:
- How many times during the day are you willing to take it?
- Will you be taking it with food? Or, do you sometimes skip breakfast?
- Do you prefer tablets, capsules, softgels, powder or liquid?
Most people want to take a vitamin once a day.
Some one-a-days I suggest are: Rainbow Light’s Just Once, New Chapter’s One and Only and, Garden of Life’s Raw One. These are all food based vitamins and minerals and so, are gently on your stomach even if taken without food. Garden of Life’s is a capsule for those who find swallowing a tablet difficult.
Each company offers a multi for women, men or a general one for both men and woman and, there are multi’s that are two-a-days or more.
