Use Clove Oil for Toothaches
Suffering from a bad toothache? Try using clove oil for toothaches – I’ve found it to be a great way to sooth the pain associated with tooth aches at home and for cheap. Pure, 100% clove oil (sometimes referred to as oil of cloves) is antiseptic and can keep toothache pain under control when rubbed gently into the gum area. Remember to add a little olive oil to the clove oil if the clove oil by itself proves to be too irritating to your gum. Doing this will ensure that the clove oil is diluted a bit and the olive oil will provide additional benefits for your gums. It’s a win-win situation.
Anytime you feel a toothache coming along, the procedure is simple. Figure out which tooth is causing the problem (not necessary if applying the clove oil to a large portion of your gum) and grab your favorite clove oil. From here, all you’re going to need to do is apply the clove oil to a q tip or even your finger and apply it directly to the area. If you find that the toothache persists but you aren’t noticing the oil is causing any irritation, feel free to add more. However, if you do feel some irritation, simply mix in a drop off olive oil (as mentioned above) and you should find yourself much less sensitive to the clove oil.
Nature’s Alchemy and Aura Cacia are two companies that sell high quality essential oils. They come in small, ½ ounce bottles (larger amounts also available). You won’t need much clove oil so these small bottles are perfect and should take care of all your needs. In terms of price, since these bottles are so small, you’ll be able to grab a perfect amount from Amazon for under $10. Below is my person recommendation:
